Personalized Door Hanger Signs for the kids

Good Morning!  I had to take a little break to deal with some family issues, but all is well now and I am back!
I originally bought these letter frames from a dollar auction site on Facebook and thought "I can do something with these!"  I just didn't know what for sure, so after having them around for awhile I finally figured it out!  I decided to make signs to hang on my kids' bedroom doors.

For my son, Blake, I used a file from Scrapping Bug Designs called "Blast off with my heart."  I chose this file because of the cute little aliens.  I'll tell you a little story behind this--he has a birthmark on his shoulder and we always told him it was an "Alien Mark" from when the alien's kidnapped him while he was sleeping, marked him and once he woke up and they realized how mischievious he was they hurried up and brought him back. Well...he remembers it and loves that story and tells everyone about his "Alien Mark!"

This is the BEFORE photo of the frame...

This is Blake's AFTER photo....

Of course I couldn't leave out my daughter Randi either....for hers I didn't use any paper piecings, instead I used some miscellaneous stuff I already had on hand (she helped pick it out too).  I think it will be a nice touch on their bedroom doors.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next week with something COMPLETELY NEW FROM ME!!!  It's something I have never made before and I can't wait to share it with you!

February 2016

Guess what?! I remembered to post my newest creation!  This is a card I made for Valentine's Day for my hubby.  I used the file "You Whisk Me Off My Feet" from Scrapping Bug Designs Be sure to stop on over and get it plus all the other neat new files they have!

Be sure to stop by next week--I hope to add something else new!

Someday I will have the time to be able to do more scrappin' I just know I will!  But I think I will first have to learn how to say NO to everyone else that asks me to do this or to do that.....my crazy life!
Anyhow, here is one I posted earlier this month for Scrapping Bug Designs -- I used the "Making Snowflakes" file.  Love these puppies!

I will TRY to remember to post the next project that I made on Friday when I share on Scrapping Bug Designs Facebook fanpage!

January 2016 Postings

I'm sharing a single page layout that my cousin and I made this past weekend. I used the "Tea Girl" from the file "Girls Only" to make the little girl and modified it so that she was holding the cup off to the side because I thought that dress was too cute to hide. She then topped it off by finding the adorable coffee bean paper to back the photo's and title in, added some fringe to it and a few heart brads.  Just enough embellishments to make it perfect I think.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop over at www.scrappingbugdesigns.com to purchase a ton of great files Chrissy has to offer.

                          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For this little card I put together I used the "Love U Tons" file from Scrapping Bug Designs.  These little elephants are so darn cute!  I stuck with a simple card just to be able to show of their cuteness!
Uh-Oh I've slacked off again!
I want to apologize for not keeping up on my posts, this seems to be one of the things I always forget to do. SOOOOOOOOO......today I am going to share a few things I have made for the design team that I am on for Scrapping Bug Designs --I hope you enjoy and go over to the site and purchase these files for yourself or if you'd like I can make one of them for you! Just let me know! (papers will vary due to limited stock on hand).
My daughter, Randi's Birthday invitation. (time got away from me and I didn't even get them all made and sent out! Bad mommy I was this year.)
Randi's little birthday gift box for her birthday!
The birthday invitation and the gift box are all from the file Wonderland found at Scrapping Bug Designs under the Nursery rhymes-fairy tales category
A Thanksgiving sign Up sheet, hoping this will help me out and remind me to take lots of photos this year to scrap!
The files used for this page are Gobble and Family Traditions under the category Halloween-Fall at Scrapping Bug Designs
A snowman box card I made.
The box card file was from the Silhouette Design Store and the snowmen used for this card is You Melt Me Heart under the category Winter-Christmas at Scrapping Bug Designs
For one of the kids' books, still have to make a few more of these (one for my other child and my cousin wants some for her kids!)
The file We Bee-lieve can be found at Scrapping Bug Designs under the What's New category
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to get better at posting!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Design Team Member Entries for Scrapping Bug Designs
      Tonight I am sharing a few projects that I have submitted to Scrapping Bug Designs for their Design Member Call.  I love all of her files and have used them so many times that I am really hoping I am one of the chosen ones!  She has some of the cutest files and they are so easy to incorporate with each other.
     For instance in this project I made a teacher gift for Blake's teacher by using the files "Milk" and "Will you be my Valentine"  I think it turned out super cute, what do you think?
      The one on the Left is the front view and the one on the right is of the top view.  The caption on the tag reads " I'm going to be one smart COOKIE with you as my TEACHER!"
I had to a little sizing of course and the little boy originally had scissors in his hand, but in my house my little man is not allowed to have scissors unless he is with his teacher after destroying his bed, sheet & comforter with a pair of scissors!
    Now my next problem is trying to figure out the other project to submit to her....I use her files A LOT and have already shared a lot of them on my blog but here are a few others that I have created too....from these I will try to narrow it down to one more to send her tonight.
     Hopefully soon I will be able to post an update that I made the team!  I sure miss being on one!  I had a blast on the last design team I was on.  Until then, I'll keep busy making more memories with the kids so that I can keep Scrappin' My Kids!
Birthday Cards
Sorry I've been M.I.A.---I am going to finally get some of the things I have been doing put on here....Yippeee!
For starters I want to share this birthday card I made for my niece's 14th birthday (Savannah on June 28th ~ Happy Birthday!)  I used a simple tan paper for the main card and a zebra patterned paper from Close to my Heart.  Added some purple to it (her favorite color--I knew she'd be smart, taking after me as purple is my favorite color too)  I used the Cowboy Boot Easel Card file from the Silhouette Online Store.
Next up is a Box Birthday Card that I made for my cousin's 14th birthday (Trey on June 29th ~ Happy Birthday!).  He is into motocross, so I tried to make that one of the main focal points of it (after the 14 of course).  I just hope he liked it.  I used the 14th birthday box card from the Silhouette Online Store.
Thanks for stopping by...keep your eyes open as I will be adding more box cards tomorrow that I made for mother's day.  AND in the next few days you'll see some of the little signs that I am making for my house to add a little more humor and inspiration for anyone who comes to visit!
Pets Blog Hop with The Creating Blog Hops Cafe'
Welcome to this month's blog hop with...
The Creating Blog Hops Cafe'
Love is in the air this month, so we wanted to show a little love to a our Fur-Babies.
Here we are in our second month on the last Saturday of the month to inspire you with some wonderful projects. This month's theme is..."Pet's"
So, grab yourself a Latte' and hop along with us while we proudly show off our projects and our Fur-Babies.
Your first stop on the hop will be with...
Robin Lane from Create-A-Latte
But before you go anywhere else I would like to share my project with all of you.
For this layout I used a file from Scrapping Bug Designs called "Puppy Love" and "Puppies with Love Title"  This is a page of when my daughter picked out her puppy and named her "Uh-Oh Uppy"--what else is a 1 1/2 year old going to name a puppy when her favorite word is uh-oh???  But the name is unique just like the puppy and we wouldn't trade her for anything in the world.
Now, for some candy. This month we will be giving one lucky person two Becky Higgins Project Life Themed Kits, one is the Dogs Kit and the other one is the Cats Kit. For your chance to win this amazing blog candy you must hop through each one of our talented crafters blogs, be sure to leave everyone a little blog lovin', and if you are not already a follower please become one to each of ladies so that you do not miss a single project that they make.
Welcome to... The Creating Blog Hops Cafe'
 Our group is here to inspire you every month with many different projects that have been made by some of the most amazing crafters that I know. We are dedicated to be here to inspire you every single month, on the last Saturday of the month, all year long. Whether it be a specific theme, season, or event. So, grab yourself a Latte and hop along with us while we proudly show off our projects to you each and every month.
 Your first stop along this hop will be with... Robin Lane with Create-A-Latte
However, you happen to be at my blog at this very moment and I am so happy that you could join us! I want to share with you my contribution ~ a page I created with all intents and purposes of actually putting some photos in it of my daughter out in the snow this year, UNFORTUNATELY the only snow we received so far this winter was pretty much gone before she even got up out of bed this winter.  And with the way our weather was last weekend (a record setting 65 degrees in January) it doesn't look like it will be getting photos this year!
For this layout I used files from Scrapping Bug Designs.
Now, for some candy. This month we will be giving one lucky person a Becky Higgins Project Life Season's Mini Kit.
This is a file from SVG Cuts
I used the Valentine's mailbox from the file "For My Valentine"
This was a single page layout that I created from basic files in SCAL3
This is a step card from the Silhouette Online Store.
I then added the owl from the file "Owl Always Love You" from Scraptastical Kreations
Thanksgiving Window Decor
For my latest project for Scraptastical Kreations I used the Giving Thanks file to create these cuties for my living room window.  I made them each about 7" tall and then created my own title for it.  Don't forget to stop and get this and many other great files today at www.scraptasticalkreations.com
Keep an eye out for another exciting project for Thanksgiving that I will share with you on the 27th!
